It's firm in the jar and softens as soon as you warm it between your fingers. It's an oil-based balm, so give it a few minutes to sink in. Kokum butter is often described as feeling lighter than many other butters.

Warm and lightly spicy, from cinnamon leaf oil. There's no synthetic fragrance.

Apply generously to clean, dry heels, elbows and knees and massage gently until absorbed. It works best at night. Cotton socks help keep it on your heels and off your sheets.

We made it for heels, elbows and knees, and that's how we've tested it. We don't recommend it for lips or face. It's fine on dry hands, but it's rich, so use a small amount.

No. It contains beeswax, which keeps it solid in the jar and in place on skin.

In a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. On a very hot day it may soften in the jar. That's normal for a butter balm, and it firms up again once it cools.
